The short version

Turret Dave doesn't collect personal information like your email, contacts or location. There are no ads, no purchases and no tracking across other apps or websites. To play online, the game uses a display name; to make the game better, it sends anonymous gameplay stats, which you can turn off in Settings.

Playing online

When you play online, the game connects to the Turret Dave match server and sends your display name (your Game Center name if you're signed in, otherwise the name you choose in Settings) and a random player ID. Your name is shown to your teammates in that match. Matches live only in the server's memory while they're running and aren't saved afterwards. The server's short-lived technical logs may include display names for troubleshooting.

Anonymous gameplay stats

The game uses TelemetryDeck to count things like matches played, which wave a match ended on, which turrets and upgrades were used, and how long matches last. Each phone is represented by an anonymous, salted and hashed identifier that can't be traced back to you or used to track you, and the stats are never sold or used for advertising. Turn it off any time in Settings → Share anonymous stats.

Your progress

Your level, unlocks and best waves are saved on your device. The developer can't see them.

Game Center

Sign-in, leaderboards and achievements are provided by Apple's Game Center under Apple's privacy policy. Your scores are shown to other players the way Game Center shows them.

Crash and performance reports

These come only from Apple, and only if you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings. They contain no personal information.

Children

The game doesn't ask for personal information from anyone, including children. Display names can be changed or cleared in Settings, and the anonymous gameplay stats contain nothing that identifies a player.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new date.
